Sound reasons 't0'has been put together to linearly construct 'sonic spaces' we inhabit, and the moods these sounds subject us to. This is a highly experimental album featuring various artists from all over the world like SoundSkill, monoton, diF, Audio Pervert, da -Saz, DJ Spooky, edGeCut and more

An audio project by diF (Konrad Bayer + Ish Shehrawat). The project involved recording sounds of Delhi and using them to create an audio spectrum of the experience of inhabiting the city space. Konrad Bayer and Ish are sound artists from Munich and Delhi respectively
4th World Orchestra is a collaboration between Ish (Delhi), Konrad (Munich) and Ryu (Tokyo). Its aim is to promote a vision of post sampling kinetic nonhierarchical nonlinear nonequilibrium music.
This label is set to bring together the different styles of music and productions from all over the world. As a label originating from India, we in our first compilation sound reasons t 0 are trying to reflect the sonic spaces of India and our interpretations of these via sound art and compositions. India's deep and diverse music has taught us together about multiplicity and minimalism and our works interpret these with the use of contemporary tools of electronica and synthesis. Sound Reasons records is set to make these interpretations of sonic spaces that surround us with the use of sonic art/sound installation and represent them through a mix acoustic and electronic compositions.
Launch party will feature Live acts by da-Saz, edGeCut and Audio Pervert . There will also be a show case of works by soundSkill, monoton, diF and 4th world orchestra and Sonic objects

Konrad Becker created Monoton in 1979, the crucial Austrian electronic music act, providers of distinguished electronic soundscapes and psycho-acoustics. The Wire magazine singled out Monotons record "Monotonprodukt07" from 1982 among the 100 most important records of the 20th century. On the Sound Reasons t 0 compilation there is remix by edGeCut of the track called 'mini beat' from the album Blau - Monotonprodukt 02 26y++.

Soundskill is a hugely talented duo of XMZ and Grennady Laventiev from Russia. They have 2 albums under their belt and there is a track called Peshkar on the sound reasons Compilation

Paul D. Miller aka DJ SPOOKY is a composer, multimedia artist and writer. His written work has appeared in The Village Voice, The Source, Artforum and Rapgun amongst other publications. Miller's work as a media artist has appeared in a wide variety of contexts such as the Whitney Biennial; The Venice Biennial for Architecture (2000); the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, Germany; Kunsthalle, Vienna; The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh and many other museums and galleries.
The compilation features the DJ spooky's remix of Quasim Virjee's(Abdul Smooth) called Maya Saguna

Da-Saz is a collective of musicians and artistes based in New Delhi, India.Featuring outstanding instrumentalists, singers and percussionists, Da-Saz aims to provide a platform to new styles of urban music through recorded albums and live performances.
The sound reasons compilation feature an abstract electronic portrayal of a day out on the streets of Delhi.

edGeCut is an elecro-acoustic project if ISh working alongside various musicians. ISh is trained in western classcal guitar and presently has intrests in latin American (Brazillian/ Cuban), Jazz and Indian classical music. The compilation 't0' features a track called 'Last train to Sarai' which has kathak tals/vocals by Namrata Pamnani.

Samrat B is an electronic musician from Delhi currently involved with various bands and productions like Teddy Boy Kill. He has a wide array of production styles varing from rock to techno.

Nigel has recently been an Artist in Residence at The Marine Mammal Laboratory (Tropical Marine Science Institute) of the National University of Singapore; developing a project for ISEA2008 exhibited at the National Museum of Singapore, July ~ August 2008. The remix of the track hydrosonic by 4th world orchestra are synthesis mixed with Field Recordings Nigel made during his Residency.

Sarai is a programme of the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, (CSDS) one of Indias leading research institutes with a commitment to critical and dissenting thought and a focus on critically expanding the horizons of the discourse on development, particularly with reference to South Asia.
